Starting the Refinery blog
Insight and product news on industrial data, AI agents and field operations — starting here.
We are starting the Refinery blog. This is where we will talk, in practical terms, about how data on industrial sites gets connected, refined, and put to work in decisions through AI agents.
We are a team that has spent a long time in power, manufacturing and energy. Not only developers — field engineers who have handled the equipment and the process themselves build the product alongside them. So this blog leans toward what actually works on site rather than what sounds good in theory.
What we will write about
- Field data practices: from collecting and refining data to connecting it through an ontology — the methods that hold up in a real plant.
- AI agents in use: the actual moments where AI helps decide — predictive maintenance, quality, energy, autonomous operation.
- Product news: new capabilities and updates in Refinery, and the thinking behind them.
Each topic focuses on the context a product brochure struggles to carry: why it was built this way, and what changed on site.
Why a blog
There is context a product page cannot convey. A feature list shows what the software can do, but not why that capability was needed or which problem it solved on the floor.
Problems on industrial sites are mostly quiet. Cost accumulates less from major incidents than from the small inefficiencies that repeat daily, and from the effort people spend by hand bridging data that sits apart. We want to record those problems and how they get solved, steadily, so it is of use to anyone working through the same thing.
How we write
We only write what has been confirmed. We do not inflate unverified results into numbers, and we do not invent case studies. If something is still in preparation, we say it is in preparation. Accuracy builds trust that lasts longer than exaggeration does.
What’s next
We will be publishing regularly. For a first read, we would suggest five principles for turning industrial data into an asset. If there is a topic you would like us to cover, let us know through contact.
